Compensating Flight Emissions: Participants were offered the opportunity to offset their
flight emissions by paying for the emissions he or she causes. The participants received an e-certificate stating the amount of emissions one has offset through the purchase. The paid amount will be used to supports renewable energy projects promoting energy saving in India.
The offset amount was calculated accordingly to the flight distance and flight emissions related parameters such as flying distance, type of aircraft and Radiative Forcing Index etc. |

New Voices New Futures: About 40 skilled artisans from the earthquake affected regions of Gujarat were invited and encouraged to express their ideas in new and innovative ways. The exhibits include a cross-section of communities and traditional textile techniques like block printing, batik, Bandhani, embroidery (in all its forms), weaving etc. The exhibition used works of young artisans as a narrative to show how the artisans used their craft traditions to express their thoughts about sustainability. |
