In its 57th meeting in December 2002, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, 2005- 2014, (DESD) 'emphasizing that education is an indispensable element for achieving sustainable development'. RCE Global Service Centres is please to inform you that now we are calling for applications for new Regional Centres of Expertise (RCE) on Education for sustainable Development (ESD). We would greatly appreciate it if you could kindly disseminate this information to those who might be interested in becoming part of RCE networks for the enhancement of ESD around the world.

Those organisations who are interested in initiating the RCE process and applying for RCE status are requested to send expressions of interest to UNU-IAS by 15 April 2010 . RCEs are then requested to submit an application and an application summary by 15 June 2010 . More...
